Delivered From the Way of Evil!

Delivered From the Way of Evil!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who you will deliver from the way of evil. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God provides Scripture to guide and direct his followers. Take heed of Solomon’s God-inspired messages.

Proverbs 2:6-15 is about how the Lord giving wisdom.

“For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
guarding the paths of justice
and watching over the way of his saints.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path;
for wisdom will come into your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
discretion will watch over you,
understanding will guard you,
delivering you from the way of evil,
from men of perverted speech,
who forsake the paths of uprightness
to walk in the ways of darkness,
who rejoice in doing evil
and delight in the perverseness of evil,
men whose paths are crooked,
and who are devious in their ways.”

Allow God to speak to you through Scripture. Stay away from those who rejoice in doing evil. These people are identifiable by the traits described in these verses.

Search for Wisdom!

Search for Wisdom!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who incline their hearts to understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.

King Solomon encourages the readers of the second chapter of Proverbs to seek wisdom. When the seeker of wisdom is attentive, inclines his or her heart, calls out for insight, and seeks it like silver, he or she will be closer to discovering what Proverbs 2:1-5 (ESV) puts on the level of hidden treasure.

“My son, if you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding,
if you seek it like silver
and search for it as for hidden treasures,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.”

Have you taken your quest for godly wisdom seriously? If not, why not? If not or if so, search Scripture for answers.

Wisdom Cries Aloud in the Street!

Wisdom Cries Aloud in the Street!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who know wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice. In Jesus name, amen.

Will you take advantage of wisdom when it is offered, or will you be like some who ignore wisdom?

Take time to realize that God used Solomon to deliver God’s message.

According to Proverbs 1:20-22 (ESV) wisdom is available, yet there are those who ignore and even hate knowledge.

“Wisdom cries aloud in the street,
in the markets she raises her voice;
at the head of the noisy streets she cries out;
at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:
“How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools hate knowledge?”

Be open to what Solomon says in Proverbs. As he shares God’s wise ways, be ready to take action and become wise. Not in your own eyes, but in the eyes of the Lord.
