What Are the Six Things the Lord Hates and the Seven That Are an Abomination!
Dear Lord, I pray for the wisdom to be able to avoid the six things that you hate, and the seven that are an abomination to you. In Jesus’s name, amen.
God makes his boundaries clear, so we know what he considers offensive behavior.
Proverbs 6:16-19 (ESV) is more than just about the things the Lord hates.
“There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.”
The list is very straight forward. Either a person will avoid these things, or he or she will be involved in the things God hates.
Stay far away from the things the Lord hates.
