God Created You and Me!

God Created You and Me!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who know your hands have made and fashioned me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

One of the great demarcations in modern society can be found in the first words of the Bible, Genesis 1:1 (ESV).

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

This verse separates those who acknowledge God’s role in creation and those who do not.

Psalm 139:13 (ESV) says,

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”

Psalm 119:73 (ESV) also starts off recognizing God is a personal creator.

“Your hands have made and fashioned me;
give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.”

Where are you with your thoughts about God creating heaven and earth? Do you accept God personally knit you together in your mother’s womb, and that his hands made and fashioned you? If so, rejoice. If not, ask God to show you He is real.

The Proverbs 31 Wife!

The Proverbs 31 Wife!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for Proverbs 31 Women who consider a field, buy it, and plant a vineyard.

The Proverbs 31 Wife described in Scripture has some wonderful qualities.

In Proverbs 31:16 (ESV) we learn of some of this woman’s attributes and abilities.

“She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.”

These verses help us to understand the Proverbs 31 wife is not only wise, she is smart and hard working.

Those who aspire to have these traits, should be affirmed. These characteristics are worth cultivating.

Men with such a wise and hard working spouse should be very thankful and praise God.

Lift Up Your Hands?

Lift Up Your Hands?

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who lift their hands to the holy place and bless the Lord. In Jesus’ name.

Available in many versions on YouTube, the song “Lifting Up Holy Hands” begins,

“I’m going to lift up holy hands in the presence of the Lord. Lift up holy hands in the presence of the Lord.”

1 Timothy 2:8 (ESV) says,

“Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.”

Psalm 134:1-3 (ESV) refers to lifting hands and offers praise and a blessing.

“Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord,
who stand by night in the house of the Lord!
Lift up your hands to the holy place
and bless the Lord!

May the Lord bless you from Zion,
he who made heaven and earth!”

Will you take a moment and lift your hands to the Most High God, and thank him for all he has done and continues to do. Bless you.

Bless God?

Bless God?

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who will bless you as long as they live. In Jesus’ name, amen.

David, the psalmist, reports that he seeks God. The psalm reveals he does more than that. He thirsts for God. He has seen God’s power and glory.

Psalm 63:1-4 expresses the awe David has for God. God’s love is better than life.

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.”

David’s lips will praise, and he will lift his hands. Wherever you are. Stop for a moment, and praise God with your lips and lift your hands to him.
