Have You Ever Or Would You Willing to Train a Child?

Have You Ever Or Would You Be Willing to Train a Child?

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those involved in the training up children in the way they should go. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Teaching a child faith lessons early on can save their life.

King Solomon in Proverbs 22:6 (ESV) shares about the lifelong impact.

“Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Don’t underestimate of this early training. Even if a person goes astray along the way, later years the person can have a time of restoration and reconciliation.

Were you trained up in the way you should go?

Think back of those who helped train and encourage you. Do you think it would be appropriate to say. “Thank you?” Don’t delay in acknowledging those who have poured their lives into yours. Tell me what you think below.

Will You Encourage a Child’s Pure and Upright Conduct?

Will You Encourage a Child’s Pure and Upright Conduct?

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those children whose conduct is pure and upright. In Jesus’s name, amen.

In law, in some jurisdictions, a child of age eight can be held responsible for their actions. Courts have ruled that a child of this age has the ability to form willful intent to act.

Parents, share with your children Proverbs 20:11 (ESV) which is about a child’s reputation.

“Even a child makes himself known by his acts,
by whether his conduct is pure and upright.”

Help your children to build a good reputation.

Give praise for pure and upright behavior.

Vow to the Lord!

Vow to the Lord!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who keep their vows to the Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hannah made a vow to the Lord. She asked the Lord for a child. She conceived and Samuel was born. After Samuel had been weaned, Hannah took him to the House of the Lord at Shiloh and made sacrifices. Then she brought him to Eli the priest.

1 Samuel 1:26-28 (ESV) tells what Hannah said when she presented Samuel to Eli.

“And she said, “Oh, my lord! As you live, my lord, I am the woman who was standing here in your presence, praying to the Lord. For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.”

Hannah lent Samuel to the Lord.

As Samuel grew up, he would used by Lord as a prophet.
