A Day in God’s Courts!
Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who know a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Charlie Hall wrote “Better Is One Day.” The song is based on Psalm 84:10, and it is on YouTube.
Psalm 84:10-12 (ESV) offers examples of comparison and contrast and concludes with a statement about who is blessed.
“I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!”
