Wisdom Prayer

Good Friday!

Good Friday!

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who know Jesus had to be crucified before he could rise from the dead. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The events of Jesus’ crucifixion are recorded in John 19.

In John 19:2, soldiers mock Jesus by putting a crown of thrones and a purple robe on him.

We learn what happened to Jesus in John 19:16-22 (ESV).

“So he (Pilate) delivered him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, ‘Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.’ Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek. So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, ‘Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but rather, ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’ Pilate answered, ‘What I have written I have written.’”

Jesus lived a prefect life which made him the perfect sacrifice to pay for the sins of the world.

Read John 19 in the Bible, on a phone, or on a computer.

This is about the death on the cross of the Savior of the World. Jesus can be your personal Savior if you invite him into your heart. He paid your sin debt, and you are free from sin if you accept him as your Savior and Lord.
