Grandmother Stories?

Grandmother Stories?

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who argue against the historical accuracy of scripture. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Bible a fairy tale?
Tell me it is not so!

Second Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

While touring Israel, our Israeli guide said, “Many claim the stories in the Bible are just grandmother stories.”

Translation: Scripture is made up of fairy tales.

To prove the Bible was true, the guide constantly cited chapter and verse in the very locations where the events happened. He fully documented the history of the Jewish people using scripture as evidence.

Trust the Bible. It’s true.

Let me know what you think in the comments.

Time to Confess?

Time to Confess?

Lord, I pray for wisdom for those who know they should confess a sin, but for some reason have not. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The words, “I am guilty,” do not come easily. Yet, when we approach a holy God, we are told to admit our wrongdoing.

First John 1:9 (NLT) says, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”

It may take a leap of faith to trust God with the outcome of our admission of guilt.

But why wait? Let God forgive!

Getting Lazy?

Getting Lazy?

Lord, I pray you give wisdom to people who have become lazy. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I had to look it up, but the study of ants is “myrmecology.”

Proverbs 6:6 (NLT) says, “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!”

What makes ants an example? They are consistent, work together, and can carry many times their weight. Go and do likewise. Study the ants.

Never Satisfied?

Never Satisfied?

Lord, I pray you give people wisdom about their level of satisfaction. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hebrews 13:5 (NLT) says, “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.’”

We pray for people who have allowed finances to become a source of conflict in their relationships.

Help people not to succumb to the temptation to be dissatisfied. Rather, help people to count their blessings one by one.

When the Lord says he will never fail us or abandon us, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Need Wisdom?

Need Wisdom?

Lord, I pray for wisdom for anyone needing wisdom.

Some say, “Trust your gut.” Others will flip a coin. Some cannot decide.

James 1:5 (NIV) says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Many take decision-making casually, while others do extensive research.

Some make snap decisions while others take forever to make up their minds.

Lack wisdom? Your research should start by checking the Scriptures. Ask God! That means in every area of your life!

Let me know below what you decided in the comments below.

Under the Grip of Fear?

Under the Grip of Fear?

Lord, I pray for wisdom for anyone who is fearful. In Jesus’ name, amen.

2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV) says, “God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Moreover, the Scripture says in James 4:8 (ESV), “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you”. When faced with fear, it is time to run to God.
