Are You Shining?
Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for anyone who wants to avoid grumbling and disputing, and by doing so, wants to shine as a light in the world. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Whatever the origin of your complaint or dispute, God knows all about it.
Scripture tells us to avoid some things to allow other things to happen. Such is the case with grumbling and disputing. For when these are avoided, God will open an opportunity for something far greater. Through you, God may illuminate the way for others.
Philippians 2:14-15 (ESV) says, “Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.”
Take action to stop complaining and quarreling. Be without blemish. Shine forth and be a beacon for the crooked and twisted.
